Mark R. Vieau – President
Mark graduated with an accounting degree from the University of Minnesota in 1976. Mark began working at Lakehead while attending college, first as a painter, then as a financial manager. In 1980, he purchased the company together with Robert Brooks Jr. Today, Mark has complete executive management responsibility for estimating resources, project and financial management, marketing, strategic planning and procurement. - E-mail Mark
Robert Brooks Jr. – Vice-President
Robert graduated with a four-year degree from Macalaster College in 1971. Robert has worked for Lakehead since its inception in 1965. In 1980, he and Mark Vieau purchased the business. Today, Robert provides strategic planning and procurement.
Cheryl Ormston – Secretary/Treasurer
Cheryl has been with Lakehead since 1983. A graduate of Wisconsin Indianhead Technical Institute (WITC) in Superior, Cheryl is responsible for accounts receivable, general ledger and payroll. - Email Cheryl
Mike Gerber – General Manager
Mike has an Associate’s Degree in Occupational Development from Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia. Mike started painting in 1971 and has been with Lakehead since 1981. In addition to project management, Mike holds instructor certificates in Lead-Based Paint Abatement and MSHA. Active in the community, in 1997 he received the AFL-CIO United Way Joe Wiesinger Award. - E-mail Mike
Rob Vieau – Operations Manager
Rob graduated with an accounting degree from the University of Wisconsin in 2001. Rob began working for Lakehead while attending college and was promoted into project management after many hours of field work on various commercial and industrial projects. Currently, as Operations Manager, Rob has experience in the petrochemical, paper and pulp industries, and is factory trained in Graco Reactor Pumps developed for high performance coatings. - E-mail Rob
Ryan Vieau – Director of Safety and Risk Management, Quality Assurance and Business Development
Ryan earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Business (minor in Health) from the University of Wisconsin – River Falls in 2004, and his Master’s Degree in Environmental Health and Safety from the University of Minnesota – Duluth in 2005. Ryan is currently progressing towards his MBA at The College of St. Scholastica. Previous to joining Lakehead in March of 2008, Ryan was Safety Manager for the API Group, Inc. in St. Paul, Mn and Corporate Safety Director with Western States Fire Protection in Denver, CO. Ryan holds several industry related credentials and is an approved OSHA 500 & 501 Trainer. - E-mail Ryan
Gene Rands – Project Manager
Gene has been painting since 1973 and offers a variety of experience in commercial and industrial painting and has managed several large projects in the Tri-state Area. Gene is actively involved in research and development within the painting industry and works directly with facility owners and manufacturers to exceed customer’s expectations. Gene holds a multitude of trade certifications and has been nationally recognized in his field. - E-mail Gene
Roland Vieau – Superintendent
Roland has been with Lakehead since 1985 and is the superintendent for one of Lakehead’s largest customers, Enbridge Energy (U.S.) Inc. Experienced in the petroleum, paper and pulp industries, Roland is also knowledgeable in the operation and maintenance of heavy equipment.
