Mark R. Vieau - President
Mark graduated with an Accounting degree from the University
of Minnesota in 1976. Mark began working for Lakehead while
attending college, first as a painter, then as a financial manager.
In 1980, he purchased the company together with Bob Brooks,
Jr. Today, Mark has complete executive management responsibility
for estimating resource, project, and financial management,
marketing, strategic planning, and procurement.
Bob Brooks, Jr. - Vice-President
Bob graduated with a four-year degree from Macalester College
in 1971. Bob has worked for Lakehead since its inception in
1963. In 1980, he and Mark Vieau purchased the business. Today,
Bob provides strategic planning and resource management support.
Cheryl Ormston - Corporate Secretary
Cheryl has been working with Lakehead Painting since 1983. Cheryl
is a graduate of Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College (W.I.T.C.)
in Superior, and is responsible for all accounts receivable,
accounts payable, general ledger and payroll. Cheryl is a State
of Wisconsin Notary Public.
Mike Gerber - Supervisor
Mike has an Associate's Degree in Occupational Development from
Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia. Mike has been
painting since 1971 and is responsible for employee safety and
training, estimating, and project management. In addition, Mike
is the apprenticeship coordinator for Painters Local #106 and
holds an instructor's certificate in Lead-Based Paint Abatement.
He is a State of Wisconsin certified tank liner with OSHA 10-hour
and 30-hour certifications. Mike is active in his community
and in 1997 received the AFL-CIO/United Way Joe Wiesinger Award
for Community Service.
Gene Rands - Supervisor
Gene has been painting since 1973 and has managed several large
projects, including the Minnesota Power Hibbard Plant, re-opening
of Northshore Mining in Silver Bay, Minnesota, and the Boise
Cascade expansion in International Falls, Minnesota. Gene offers
a variety of experience ranging from industrial painting of
power plants, smoke stacks, and water towers to architectural
painting, texturing, and wall covering. Currently, Gene is head
of Polyurea Rapid Cure Coatings Division at Lakehead and provides
estimating and project management services. Gene is a former
member of the Cotton, Minnesota, Fire and Rescue Response Team
and is trained by St. Mary's Hospital and Gold Cross Ambulance
in Emergency Medical Systems (EMS).
Scott Springer - Superintendent
Scott has been with Lakehead since 1979 and has a wealth of
experience working in pulp and paper mills, refineries, oil
storage facilities, and on bridges. He is knowledgeable in surface
preparation, paint coatings and application, and fiberglass
reinforced plastic (FRP). Scott is trained in First Aid, CPR,
Confined Space, MSHA, Lead-Based Paint Abatement, OSHA 10-hour,
and holds a Commercial Drivers Licence (CDL).
Wayne Borin - Superintendent
Wayne has worked for Lakehead since 1976 with most of his experience
at waste water treatment plants and pulp and paper mills. He
is experienced in tank linings, many types of floor preparations
and coatings, as well as architectural coatings. Wayne is trained
in First Aid, CPR, Confined Space, MSHA, Lead-Based Paint Abatement,
and OSHA 10-hour.
Tom Eastman - Foreman
Tom has been with Lakehead since 1982. Tom has extensive experience
working with plural and tri-component spray systems, and is
an applicator of the VersaFlex Polyurea Coatings. Tom is trained
in First Aid, CPR, Confined Space, MSHA, Lead-Based Paint Abatement,
OSHA 10-hour, and holds a Commercial Drivers Licence (CDL).
George Nelson - Foreman
George has been painting since 1973 and has vast experience
in industrial and commercial painting including paper and pulp
mills, refineries, and educational facilities. George is an
applicator of the VersaFlex Polyurea Coatings. George's training
includes First Aid, CPR, Confined Space, MSHA, Lead-Based Paint
Abatement, and OSHA 10-hour.
Roland Vieau - Foreman
Roland has been with Lakehead since 1985. Roland is head of
day-to-day shop activities, which include preparing materials
and equipment for job mobilization. In addition, Roland is responsible
for operating Lakehead's on-site indoor blast and spray booths.
He is experienced in the preparation and painting of heavy equipment.
Roland is trained in First Aid, CPR, Confined Space, MSHA, Lead-Based
Paint Abatement, OSHA 10-hour and 30-hour certifications, and
holds a Commercial Drivers Licence (CDL).
Steve Daniluk - Maintenance manager
Steve has been with Lakehead since 1980 and presently heads
up the maintenance department. Steve is a graduate of the University
of Minnesota with a bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering.
Steve's duties include ordering parts and maintaining spray
pumps, air compressors, air chairs, man lifts, etc. Steve is
also trained in First Aid, CPR, Confined Space, MSHA, Lead-Based
Paint Abatement, and OSHA 10-hour.
