Lakehead Painting was founded in 1965 by Robert Brooks Sr. Initially
named Lakehead Painting and Sign Company, the business was
purchased by Robert Brooks Jr. and Mark R. Vieau in 1980. The sign
portion of the company was sold in 1987, and painting became the
primary focus of the business.
Today, Lakehead leads the industry in training and technology. In 2008
Lakehead Painting added a training facility to promote in house
employee craft, health, and safety training as a compliment to training
provided by outside sources.
